Brühl, July 16, 2025 – Managed cloud specialist BW.tech is now taking over the complete secure operation of the cloud file sharing service owncloud.online. The platform, which was developed in cooperation with owncloud GmbH (now Kiteworks), will in the future be managed exclusively by BW.tech.
BW.tech has previously provided the infrastructure behind owncloud.online and in particular operates the German high-availability data center, with which the service achieves the highest security and compliance standards (including ISO 27001).
The platform will continue to be developed by BW.tech and will receive regular updates. For this reason, the platform’s customers will not experience any changes to the usual operation or service quality as a result of the switchover. All functions and services will remain fully available. Only the billing for services will in future be handled directly and exclusively by BW-Tech GmbH.
Through individually customizable branding, ownCloud.online can be seamlessly integrated into your own corporate identity, creating a consistent and professional user experience. The service is complemented by reliable, trained support that is available to assist with technical or organizational questions.
